Thank you for your interest in supporting and promoting the FirstClass collaboration suite among your organization’s members. As you know, FirstClass represents a powerful solution for K12 schools and districts to provide a broad range of communication and collaboration features to their constituents, including messaging and discussion forums, resource areas and document sharing, integrated web publishing (podcasting & blogging), online student courses, web content management, message archiving, and many more tools which are essential to building a connected learning community.
FirstClass is the collaboration solution of choice for many schools and districts throughout Massachusetts. However, we recognize that due to funding shortfalls and other challenges, many schools and districts in the state struggle to make the investment in licensing and training to get started with or expand their FirstClass system.
FirstClass is pleased to offer this exclusive pricing agreement for NEISTE, an organization representing the ISTE affiliates in the six New England States (Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine, Rhode Island, New Hampshire and Vermont) and their member schools and districts.
This discounted pricing offer will be available to both existing and new FirstClass customers to purchase initial licensing or expand their current FirstClass systems. Core FirstClass licenses, as well as add-on modules and professional services, will be subject to these highly discounted rates.
As part of this agreement, we look forward to working closely with NEISTE and with our local Channel Partners to promote this discounted pricing to your member schools and other educational organizations in New England. It is our goal to encourage NEISTE affiliate members to purchase FirstClass licenses at significantly discounted rated between January 15th and June 20th, 2008.
FirstClass has a network of certified Channel Partners that provide FirstClass licensing and services to our customers. In Massachusetts FirstClass is promoted and serviced primarily by Kannon Communications, Learning Networks and Cashman Computer Associates. There may be customers in the state that work with other FirstClass Channel Partners as well. In order for NEISTE members to access specific price quotes for purchasing FirstClass products or services under this agreement, each interested school or district will need to contact NEISTE or their preferred FirstClass Channel Partner to obtain a price quote. In the case of those sites requesting pricing directly from NEISTE, we will provide you with a FirstClass contact who can prepare and deliver quotes or proposals to your members under this agreement. The NEISTE FirstClass Order Form will enable the customer to acknowledge their selected FirstClass Channel Partner.

FirstClass Pricing Offer for NEISTE members
NEISTE pricing is available to any school or district via NEISTE and its member affiliate organizations between January 15th and June 20th, 2008.
Each customer should issue their Purchase Order to their local association or to Open Text, and submit with their NEISTE FirstClass Order Form to NEISTE for processing. In addition, Purchase Orders (POs) for training or other services must be provided separately from license orders, and these Professional Services will be billed upon completion separately from license orders. Please contact your FirstClass representative to discuss options or arrangements for any sites not able to issue Purchase Orders prior to June 20th.

As part of this agreement, you agree to join us in actively promoting this opportunity to realize significant discounts on FirstClass licensing to your members.
The following are some ways in which you agree to make this opportunity known to your members:
• Make a formal announcement of the general terms of this agreement to your members as soon as possible to allow each site ample time to prepare budgets, request price quotes and complete order forms and purchasing processes.
• Invite FirstClass and/or our regional vendor partners to participate in any NEISTE-sponsored or state sponsored vendor demonstration days or other NEISTE or affiliate events or conferences while this agreement is in effect.
• Highlight FirstClass on your website as a supported product with a focus on the benefits of FirstClass to potential users within the education community in New England. FirstClass will provide sample web content to post on your website including logos and/or brochures.
• Create opportunities for FirstClass and/or its Partners to host information seminars either at a central location, or a web-based presentation to introduce FirstClass products to your members.
As the significant discounts on FirstClass licenses and services provided under this agreement are available exclusively for NEISTE members, we must require that specific pricing and details of this agreement not be published publicly (for example on the NEISTE website without passwords or other controls).
Once again, thank you for all of your assistance in promoting this opportunity to your members and we look forward to working with you!

Sincerely,
Andrea Walsh
